REGENT ELECTIONS The 2017–2018 Regent election process is under way in 18 Regent jurisdictions with elections to be held in October. The notice and the position descriptions appear in the Member Center of ache.org. All Fellows who wish to run for election must submit a letter of intent via email to the attention of Caitlin E. Stine, Division of Regional Services, at elections@ache.org by Aug. 25, 2017. If you have a question about the elections process, please contact Caitlin at cstine@ache.org.  I encourage qualified candidates to apply.

During the period of April 1, 2017 – June 30, 2017 Regents or their representatives visited 3 percent of the Higher Education Network participants. This compares to 4 percent during the same time last year. ACHE expects Regents to visit the ACHE Higher Education Network participants in their area at least once per year. If a Regent is unable to make a visit, he or she may designate a RAC member or local ACHE chapter member to complete the visit. Full credit will be given for visits completed by these representatives. I plan visits to healthcare management programs between now and the fall.   The following are the programs, which are in our HEN:

Governors State University (U/G)
Loyola University Chicago (G)
Loyola University Chicago-Niehoff School of Nursing
Northwestern University (G)
Rush University (G)
University of Illinois at Chicago (G)
University of Chicago
American Intercontinental University (U/G)

ACHE has a full slate of online educational programs scheduled for the Fall. Boost your professional development while earning Qualified Education credit toward Fellow advancement and recertification with these convenient offerings.
