3:30 ? 5:00pm – The Baldrige Criteria ? The Path to Performance Excellence

While there are many improvement tools available to health care leaders, there is only one that employs a system of interrelated parts.? The Baldrige Criteria provide an integrated management framework that addresses all the key factors that define an organization?s operations and its results. The Baldrige Framework integrates six key process areas with the organization?s competitive environment, strategic challenges and advantages, and six key results areas. The Criteria help identify the key drivers of organizational excellence; provide a common language for performance excellence across departments, professions, and functions; and serve as a tool for self-assessment. Whether you use Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA or other improvement tools, the Criteria help to assure that you are not sub optimizing your processes and that your priorities balance the needs of all stakeholders.
