CHEF Chapter, Board of Directors takes Strong Stand on Diversity & Inclusion. They?ve taken a Leadership role and have appointed Diversity and Inclusion Director and a Committee Chairperson to lead and promote the conversation throughout the geographical Healthcare Chapter Area.
The Board of Director?s and Chapter Directors believe that each and everyone of us, including the following standing committee?s plays a vital role in our commitment toward working collaboratively to elevate the discussion amongst CHEF Chapter Healthcare Management Professionals. Together we will create best practices and solutions as to how Diversity & Inclusion can create a bright future for aspiring professionals and patients today and tomorrow.

The Diversity and Inclusion Committee is responsible for developing policies and initiatives that foster an inclusive and collaborative environment within CHEF that recognizes the contributions and supports the advancement of all, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability. An inclusive environment can enhance the quality of healthcare, improve hospital/community relations, and positively affect the health status of society.?The Diversity & Inclusion committee welcomes the opportunity create alliances and grow our strategic relationships with other healthcare societies including, but not limited to, the Asian Health Care Leaders Association (AHCLA), National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE), National Forum for Latino Healthcare Executives (NFLHE), Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Membership. We look forward to developing and sharing best practices as it relates to how we can collectively impact the growing diverse healthcare patient consumer market and the impact that a professional and diverse workforce can impact their healthcare.
Together the diverse healthcare societies /organizations and the CHEF Diversity & Inclusion Committee can promote inclusion and explore the fullest range of diverse ideas, experiences and backgrounds that will enable us to create trust and a strong partnership amongst our collective membership.
In summary, as a result of the aforementioned group collaboration and strategic initiative?s we will develop, create and grow Healthcare Workforce Upward Mobility that will foster and promote Diversity & Inclusion as a business imperative in the area of Executive, Management and Governance Leadership positions for aspiring professionals with our membership today and tomorrow.
