Following our awards presentations, our Keynote Presentation: Choosing Leadership – Skill Enhancement for Healthcare Leaders, will be given by Linda E. Ginzel, reknowned Professor at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Her recent book, Choosing Leadership, helps readers to develop what she terms Leadership Capital: the courage, wisdom and capacity to decide when to manage and when to lead. She specializes in negotiation skills, managerial psychology, leadership and executive development.

Do you know that leadership is a choice? In the new and expanded version of her bestselling book, Choosing Leadership: How to Create a Better Future by Building Your Courage, Capacity, and Wisdom, Ginzel offers tools to sharpen your leadership skills, putting the responsibility for personal growth and professional development firmly in your own hands. The award-winning leadership teacher, lifelong educator, University of Chicago professor, and consumer advocate wants everyone to choose leadership to create a better future by building courage, capacity, and wisdom. Ginzel believes leadership development is not only for those in the business world but in all areas of life.

Upon conclusion of the Keynote Presentation, Ginzel will moderate our panel discussion featuring Matthew M. Anderson, PhD, MS-HSM, Associate Professor and Chair at the Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health at Loyola University, Herbert C. Buchanan, Jr., President and CEO of UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook and James S. Williams Jr., Vice President, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, UChicago Medicine | Urban Health Initiative.
