Message From Your 2019 President, Craig Miller, FACHE

Welcome to CHEF!  The Chicago Health Executives Forum is one of the largest Chapters in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).  Our goal is to “Educate, Engage and Inspire Leaders to Improve Health.”  I am excited and honored to be serving as your 2019 Chapter President.

The 2019 Annual Meeting took place in February at Soldier Field.  The new venue and format provided for some additional networking and we were fortunate to have Dr. Jonathan Burroughs speak on How We Can Succeed in Healthcare Transformation.  Dr. Burroughs led us in a discussion about the changing healthcare landscape and how we can be successful in the future healthcare marketplace.

CHEF focuses on helping our members develop as leaders in healthcare. Our programming offers a variety of networking events, C-Suite dinners; ACHE approved educational seminars, sponsorship opportunities and assistance in achieving your FACHE (ACHE Fellow). We are also excited to offer two new programs this year.  MED U is a 10-course program directed at our physician leaders who are new to the C-suite or looking to gain administrative knowledge in healthcare.  Courses include Healthcare Finance, Ethics, Business, IT, HR and more.  The classes are taught by physicians and industry experts and starts April 10!  The Mentorship program is new this year and is looking to connect mentees to mentors in the Chicagoland area.  Catch up with all the upcoming events on www.chefchicago.org

In Chicago, we are fortunate to have a tremendously broad and diverse healthcare community.
