What is CHEF?
Chicago Health Executives Forum (CHEF) is a local independent chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), an international professional society of more than 51,000 healthcare executives. Created in 1976, CHEF is one of the largest local chapters of ACHE. The chapter territory comprises the Chicago Metropolitan area, including the six Illinois counties of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will.

To become a member of CHEF you must join ACHE first. To do so:
- Review the eligibility requirements:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- An interest in or commitment to the profession of healthcare management.
